The Rodo-Rake is brought to you by Sean Lynch, a professional paver contractor with more than 25 years of hands-on experience installing interlocking concrete pavers. 12 years installing and 14 years working for Belgard and OldCastle.  Sean is the founder of Your Paver Guy, a company dedicated to helping contractors and serious DIYers do the job right — the first time.

The Problem We Set Out to Solve

ICPI (Interlocking Concrete Pavement Institute) standards call for a precisely screeded 1-inch layer of coarse bedding sand before pavers are set. The traditional method — pulling a screed board across pipes — is slow, awkward, and prone to inconsistency. Every time you reposition the pipes, you risk disturbing the sand bed you just leveled. There had to be a better way than screeding sand on your hands and knees.
